Hi, my name is joe

and I have a passion for photography. I first discovered my love for capturing moments in time during a trip to Kosovo. It was an eye-opening experience – I had dropped out of high school and knew little about the Kosovars, but as soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the landscape and the resilience of the people..

Pristina, Kosovo

I was part of a team doing humanitarian work, boxing food for villagers and teaching English classes at the University of Pristina. It was during my free time that I began to explore the countryside with my camera in hand. I found myself drawn to the stunning landscapes and the stories of the Kosovar Albanians who had faced dangerous conflicts with Serbian and Yugoslav armies.

One of the most challenging things I encountered were the landmine fields that had been planted during the conflict. It was dangerous, but I felt it was important to capture the beauty of the landscape and the courage of those who were working to clear the area of explosives.

Through my photography, I was able to tell the story of Kosovo and the people who had faced so much adversity. I discovered that photography was more than just a hobby – it was a way to connect with people and to share their stories with the world. It was a way to inspire others to take action.

My journey in Kosovo showed me the power of photography, even in the midst of conflict. My photographs captured not just the beauty of the landscape but the strength and resilience of the human spirit. I hope my images inspire others to see the world in a different way and to take action to help those in need.
